  1. Recently rebought my childhood movie. Still great movie to this day. Always had the glow and last dragon on my playlists. I would just like to mention my idea and cast for REBOOT.
I don’t believe it would work in modern era. Someone would try in fit it in an mma style movie..i for one don’t want to see that.
I do believe for some of these characters and story to be kept true to original somewhat is to set it like a post apocalyptic world like fury road or into the badlands. The dress and over the top characters like sho nuff and his gang would for. And the back to martial arts style story could work also. And musically you could make it as electric and fun in that setting. Just as fun as original movie. Sho nuff could be of a shogun overload and wear the same if not more over the top wardrobe. As I mentioned with into the badlands, it could have that type of vibe.
    Cast
Leroy- u need a fresh young innocent real life martial artist. Was magical with taimak and could work again with new unknown talent.
Sho nuff- again I could go with an unknown actor who doesn’t have a martial art background but can act the part. I also thought of Terry Crews or Wesley snipes, tho he or both may be too old..idk.
    Laura- Nicole Schlesinger
Eddie- Jack black! Nuff said lol.
    Angela- Anna Ferris
    Rocko- Batista or The Rock.
Sum dum goy trio- Taimak, Glen Eaton and Ernie jr…come on Some! Best cameos ever!
Johnny- someone who can pull off a Bruce Lee yell and handle nunchucks.
Keshia knight pullium could also cameo as one of Angela’s dancers or something. Maybe a shogun girl?
    What u think?
I’ve read some cast ideas..sam Jack is too old, Chris brown..no way, Rihanna, eh just doesn’t fit innocence of Laura.
Whoever directs has to have a love for this movie and it’s characters. Otherwise just another bad Hollywood remake.
The music has to be on point and have that Motown touch.
